Territorial Requirement: Southern Regions
The MIMIT call (Specialized Skills Development for SMEs) is intended exclusively for the less developed regions of Southern Italy. To access the grant, the applicant company must carry out training activities in one or more local units (operational or registered offices) located in one of these 7 regions:

If the company's registered office is in Northern or Central Italy, the company can still participate, provided that:
- It has (or activates before disbursement) an operational local unit in one of the 7 Southern regions listed above.
- The employees involved in the training program are based at/work at the Southern local unit where the activity takes place.
Delivery Method: In-Person Training Only
No, training must be conducted exclusively in person.
MIMIT implementing decrees establish that for this specific call, distance learning (FAD/e-learning), hybrid models, or on-the-job training are not permitted.
Where and how should it be held?
- Mandatory attendance: The teacher/trainer must be physically in the classroom with the employees.
- Training location: Usually, this takes place at the company's local unit located in the South (Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Sardegna, Sicilia). If the company does not have suitable space, lessons can be held at the training provider's premises or another suitable facility located in the South.
- Traceability: As these are in-person lessons, reporting requires a daily paper attendance register signed by teachers and employees, in addition to timesheets.

Official Opening of the Application Portal
The Ministry has defined the time window for the electronic submission of applications. It will be possible to submit grant applications exclusively during the following terms:
